Review for Curamericas Global, Raleigh, NC, USA
I was fortunate enough to go on a recent volunteer trip to Guatemala with Curamericas. It's one thing to make a monetary donation and see photos of what the money is doing, it's another to experience first hand what the money is doing. Curamericas is doing great work in some of the most isolated and desperate areas in the world. Saving women and babies' lives before/during/after birth is happening in these remote places because of Curamericas work with the local communities. They respect the beliefs and traditions of the locals and let the locals take the lead on making the health clinics their own. The staff at the clinics were very grateful for the support from donors and volunteers. There is great pride and ownership in the community for the health clinics and the lives they are saving. The staff in the US at Curamericas puts their hearts and souls into their work as well. I am a firm believer in lifting up others and Curamericas Global is doing just that.
Review for POWER OF THE DREAM INC, , NC, USA
Absolutely my favorite thrift store in the area. It's the only one I donate to and buy from. I love talking with the staff and am very proud of their hard work. I have never seen clothing so organized in a thrift store in my life. The pricing is reasonable and you can see where your money/donations are going when you talk with the employees. I get compliments on the outfits I get from there. Very easy to donate at the back door too. They are always ready to help you unload your car and write you a receipt.
Review for Alley Cats and Angels, Apex, NC, USA
I have been volunteering for Alley Cats & Angels for a few years now. I work with the spay/neuter voucher program. People who receive our subsidized vouchers are so very thankful we have this program. We have spayed/neutered cats for free for people that would otherwise would not have been able to get it done. This helps the cats and the community!
