My Nonprofit Reviews

Review for Wild Love Preserve, Kingston, WA, USA
As a private citizen and taxpayer, who has called, emailed and sent faxes to the BLM for the past four + years, with absolutely NO response from them, I am delighted that Wild Love Preserve is thinking outside the box! This should be the replacement for all horses and burros in both long and short term holding, the equivalent of horse jail. These horses need to remain on their rightful lands, not be rounded up cruelly by helicopters.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
I would suggest setting up an outreach program to meet with local livestock growers, who are one of the main reasons wild horses are removed in the first place.

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?
2013
In 2010 WLP actually began its efforts going directly to regional cattle ranchers, along with BLM, environmentalists & other stakeholders. We have been working with the community as a whole, bringing all these sides together in a new light. Good, collaborative relations & mutual respect with cattle ranchers has been, and is, essential to our efforts & work in the field. Ranchers have also responded favorably to fact WLP is privately funded, versus being supported by taxpayer dollars.
