My Nonprofit Reviews
Fernando D.
Review for Operation Lookout National Center for Missing Youth, Everett, WA, USA
I got a cold call on my newly activated landline, for a "Williams" (not me). I stated that it must be a wrong number, and the caller identified themselves as a charity to help kids with cancer. The caller ID read "Operation Lookou" (sic). Then they proceeded to get me to donate, and I asked for additional information to see where money was being spent. I got a non-answer that they're very responsible with their money. Then I research them on the web and see their dismal record for giving. This pathetic excuse for a charity should be shut down.

If you have a complaint because the call center we have outsourced fundraising and communications to has misrepresented anything to you, please contact us at your earliest opportunity at oladmin@operationlookout.org. Funds do not remain LOCAL; they are used for missing children cases generated from any state for any duration. Funds are never given to a specific case but are generated for the good of all registered missing children. Any concern over how the proceeds are split will be answered by OPERATION LOOKOUT directly based on the annual IRS 990 report and PIE CHART for the previous year; those figures will vary year by year, and funds have a greater program element than is often understood. Visit www.operationlookout.org for full disclosure.
