My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for Give Kids The World, Kissimmee, FL, USA
Give Kids the World, their partners and the caring volunteers and employees are THE BEST ever! Both of my children were granted Wishes to Florida theme parks and our time there was remarkable. Everything is so well thought out and executed, they have thought of and taken care of everything. When you spend weeks, months and years in a hospital setting watching your children endure so much pain, there is a lot of pressure to really deliver and make your child's wish come true. And boy do they! We still talk about it and look at the pictures. They gave us so much more than a week away from the hospital. They gave us time together, they gave us happy memories to be cherished, they gave us hope, laughter, they gave us a chance to be a regular family. Thank you!
Review for The Children's Inn at NIH, Bethesda, MD, USA
My two boys aged 9 and 5 have been patients of the National Institute of Health and we have stayed at The Childrens Inn every month for almost 5 years. I cannot begin to convey our gratitude to all of those who work and volunteer at the Children's Inn. My boys are always so excited to go to the hospital each month - even though they know that part of the visit includes needles, treatments, surgery and more unpleasantness than you would ever wish on your worst eneny. But because of the kind people at the Inn and the activities The Inn offers they have something to look forward to such as the awesome playground, arts and crafts room, playroom, meditation room (although no meditating is going on Shhh...). My boys love to play basketball on the sports court and look for the deer family that lives in the woods behind the Inn. To see such continuing fear and pain on your child's face is too much to bear. I would like to extend my everlasting thanks and gratitude to The Children's Inn for helping to ease my childrens fear and help them to live as happily and normally as possible. You do a wonderful job!!!!
