We are corporate and had the good fortune to interact and work with Deepalaya on different fronts.
1. We have been a donor in their sponsorship programmes providing education to kids from the slums studying in their school. We found that they were always responsive and up to date on their information about the sponsor kids and their improvement or not in the school.
2. When we started to train and employ people with disabilities in our factory, Deepalaya referred people who could be trained according their abilities and provided us full support in doing so. Also they regularly counselled the disabled people during the training ensuring success. Post placement also they visited the placed people to offer whatever support they needed, since they had joined a place of work for the first time overcoming the physical and mental barriers.
3. Deepalaya has always been one of our core group NGOs which has retained its proactiveness even after increasing in the number of work areas and outreach. It has also managed to both expand its scope of work and keep all its friends and supporters informed of the progress.
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
Our work in the disability sector, of training and employing persons with disabities.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
The passion and committment to their work
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
Transform the meaning if education for the kids from the slums and other underprivileged sections of the society.
