Review for St Pete Free Clinic, St. Petersburg, FL, USA
St. Petersburg Free Clinic offers help and hope to neighbors in need throughout the community. The agency offers a wide range of programs to help people who are struggling with basic needs including hunger, medical, dental, housing, transportation, clothing, utilities and referrals.
As a volunteer, it is shocking and sad to see hundreds of people coming in each week for something as simple as a few bags of groceries yet it is a relief to know they have a place like St. Petersburg Free Clinic to go to get assistance.
Review for St Pete Free Clinic, St. Petersburg, FL, USA
Each year, thousands of people in our community come to St. Petersburg Free Clinic for assistance with basic needs including food, shelter, heath care, referrals and other basic services. As a weekly volunteer, I see people from all walks of life receive a helping hand from one of the Clinic's programs when they have no where else to turn. One gentleman in his nineties wrote, " Thank you for helping with my electric bill. I have terminal cancer and just want to stay warm. Your kindness and financial support with help me live out my last days in comfort." This is just one example of how a Clinic service can make life more bearable for a neighbor in need. And as a donor, I appreciate that donations are well spent to ensure that 90 cents of every dollar donated goes directly to client programs and services.
