Review for Deepalaya Foundation, New Delhi, , India

Rating: 5 stars

I served society for 10 years as staff of Deepalaya Plan Project owned by Deepalaya since 1988 to 1998. After completion of project my association with Deepalaya got discontinued then again in 1996, I got re associated with Deepalaya as Regional Coordinator(North) of Credibility Alliance which is going on. Deepalaya deserves Credibility It is a matter of honour that Deepalaya is a member of Credibility Alliance, a consortium of voluntary organisations and networks, which has come together to enhance good governance in the voluntary sector. What norms does the Credibility Alliance use to determine whether an NGO is credible or not? They include the following elements: Identity, Vision, Aims, Objectives and Achievements, Governance, Operations, Accountability and Transparency. It is mandatory for all members of the Alliance to comply with the Minimum Norms or give an undertaking that they will comply with all the Norms within a year. Deepalaya currently holds the certificate from the Allianace which reads in part as: Deepalaya adheres to the norms prescribed for good governance of voluntary organisations and is admitted to the membership of Credibility Alliance. Having earlier a decade experience and addition to that last three more year of recent experience, I can say that Deepalaya started with good work and still they are continuing their great efforts for society selflessly. They have created an atmosphere where society started thinking positively towards social work. I strongly feel Deepalaya knows the field realities and they actually work on principle of planning cum micro realization (PCMR).

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
