TGMC performed for the North Carolina regional conference of the American Choral Director's Association ( oneptember 19, 2009, at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro School of Music. TGMC was the very first "openly" GLBT chorus to perform at this regional conference. After TGMC's moving performance, these comments were offered by members of the very discerning audience: "...I loved the way the sound at the end of "Lux Aeterna" just settled... like a bubble settling upon a blade of grass" ".. especially for a community choral organization, the control of your group was fascinating" ".. you can tell these guys really enjoy singing.. one of the most passionate performances I have heard this weekend." ".. your blend and phrasing is just splendid - the text was clear and refined without being affected.. nice work"
