There are so many animal "charities" and shows and even zoos that exploit animals. Big Cat Rescue really cares about the animals in their care. I've taken the tour and, while they were concerned about the welfare of all of us on the tour and made sure we had sun screen, insect repellant and water, they were even more concerned about the cats. And not just the cats at Big Cat Rescue, but exotic cats in captivity everywhere. They've saved big cats that were defanged and declawed by thoughtless owners who should have been defanged, declawed and de-you- know-whated. They've rescued injured cats in the wild, nursed them back to health and, when possible, released them back to the wild. They've made some powerful enemies, who lie about them to try to destroy them and post those lies here. BCR is a great non-profit and should be recognized as such, not criticized by those who are afraid that BCR will damage their ill-gotten income.
