I volunteered and i also donated to People Helping Horses and recently i recieving an email pleading for me to donate to support the 39 horses that PHH has in their responsiblty. She said that they may not make through the winter in the cold. I couldn't remember there bieng 39 horses at PHH so i went to there website. Under residents tab there is only 25 horses. So where have they extra 14 horses come from that is causing PHH to be in such a finical bind.

I have volunteered at this organizations for sometime now. Recently i feel like this organization becoming less of Rescue and more of a hotel for the executive director's personal horses. A couple weeks ago I witness Gretchen Salstrom, the executive director, bring in her 13 horses up from California to board her horses at the PHH facility. Two of these horses had some werid infection that cause abnomial festering absesses that ooze out puss and blood. I'm just concerned that our volunteers hours and funds are not being used properly. She has constantly had volunteers groom her horses, clean their paddocks and santize everything that her horses have touch, I don't feel the 6 rescues that are at the facility or the 14 rescues on pasture are getting as much attention as Gretchen's 18 horses. I feel like it is my civic duty to let the society what i've witness. And that I will be revolking my monthly donations and will not continue volunteering due to the fact I don't feel my efforts are actually helping the rescue horses

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
I would refocus the organization to the rescue horses and not on the executive director horses.
