Review for Thrive Upstate (Generous Garden Project), Greenville, SC, USA
The Generous Garden Project is one of the most unique non-profits in Greenville, SC and is doing great work to connect healthy foods to those who would otherwise be without. The Generous Garden is a conglomerate of families, professionals, students and internationals who all come together for a common cause: to fight hunger in a slightly different way by growing and gleaning food for those in need. As this non-profit continues to grow, it will soon revolutionize the way food is grown for the hungry, the poor, the underserved, the widowed and the lowly. I am blessed to be a part of this organization.

I've personally spent multiple morning gleaning with this organization in the fertile Upstate of SC. We've salvaged entire fields of that would have otherwise rotted and donated it to relief organizations across the county. I've witnessed the joy fresh produce can be for those who don't know where their next meal may come from (if at all).
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
The Generous Garden Project has set its goals high. I've seen us accomplish a LOT in the beginning months, but we need to focus on capitalizing on our available land and resources before we consider further expansion. We still have to find that balance between dreams and reality, while always pushing the cuff on expectations.
