San Antonio Humane Society
August 14, 2011

The San Antonio Humane Society provides a wonderful and much-needed service for our city. Besides taking in unwanted/neglected/injured animals, and preparing them for their forever homes, they also educate the community about animal welfare, by sponsoring regular spay/neuter clinics, several children's camps each year, wellness clinics every month, as well as community outreaches, among other things.
During disasters, such as hurricanes, tornadoes, and flooding, they are prepared to assist other shelters and displaced citizens by providing temporary lodging and care for their animals. In short, just about anything that has to do with animal welfare, they are ready to step up. The staff is great, and they really love animals. I'm so proud to be associated with this great organization!

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

my 3 rescue kitties, who bring much joy to my life.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

try to get more donations so we could expand and serve more animals. Being a no-kill shelter, we have limited space, depending on how many animals are adopted each day. Wish we could take in every animal that needs us, but that unfortunately is not possible.
