Arizona Animal Welfare League, Inc.
August 8, 2011
I initially went there to donate old towels and blankets and asked if I could walk around, they were very friendly and said sure. When my daughter and I 1st entered the outdoor kennel area there was a box of dog treats there for visitors to feed treats to the dogs, to help the dogs become socialized and know that people are a good thing. I said to my daughter " do you hear that?" she said hear what? and I said " exactly! you dont hear the dogs barking " they were relaxed and happy and napping in nice clean surroundings. It was at that moment i decided to volunteer and AAWL. It was a happy, clean place for the animals, and since I started, the people I have met are some of the nicest and most dedicated animal lovers I have met anywhere. I see 1st hand the love and care the dogs recieve, and cats too.
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
Seeing the animals come in scared, dirty, matted and sickly from the euthenatia lists @ the different animal organizations..and go to loving homes clean, healthy, groomed and socialized.
Ways to make it better...
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
get more kennels so we could save more lives !!
Volunteer & wrote to a company and asked for help in getting more bicycle leashes , so we can "bike" more dogs to get more exercise.
