FOOD EMPOWERMENT PROJECT
July 23, 2011
The work of Food Empowerment Project regarding environmental racism, food accessibility and labor conditions for immigrants in big agriculture as well as the exploitation of workers globally for food products has opened my eyes. They are an incredible resource that I am thankful for and frequently refer people to. They are one of the few resources out there linking veganism, food accessibility and communities of color and I am thankful for their existence. I truly believe that the resources provided by food empowerment project have increased my effectiveness as an activist through providing important information in a centralized location that links the communities I struggle alongside and for. Ways to make it better...

If I had the resources I would give them as much as I could so that they could do even more work. I'm truly thankful for them, the information they provide and the existence of their dedication to food injustice.
General Member of the Public & Recenlty did an interview with lauren Ornelas to help spread information about the intersection of veganism, food accessibility and communities of color to post on the blog I do with my colleague in the UK.
