A Face to Reframe

As founder and director of the work known as Kardelen in Turkey, I am so grateful that Beth Bruno and AFTR came and facilitated an absolutely mind-blowing and amazing week with poor children struggling with physical disabilities, their siblings, Kardelen service team members and yours truly. Some of these awesome children testified at the end of the week that their felt differently about life as a result of having participated, but we as adults can honestly say we feel so different about these kids and their gifted-ness, honesty, emotional vulnerability and passion to tell their stories. Beth drew so much out of all of us and left us with the skill and excitement about carrying on this project again with more kids.
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
I listened to the kids tell their stories and describe the why's and why-nots' of their photos. Saw their pure joy when they were handed certificates at the end of the week as well as their reluctance to leave the Streams of Mercy Center on Friday afternoon. They begged (as did we) Beth to come back!

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Can't think of a thing I'd change but give me some time. I'll come up with a suggestion or two:)
Professional with expertise in this field & I facilitated the logistics for this week (including picnic for 65 children, and fmaily members, along with a group of volunteers from Denmark. I raise the money for some of the food, transportation and costs for the venue (Streams of Mercy, Ankara, Turk.
