Review for Feminists For Nonviolent Choices, Rochester, NY, USA
I love Feminists Choosing Life of NY! As a long time volunteer and now as part time staff, I have come to know and understand this organization and its people. The mission is the guiding principle and the board is professional, educated, dedicated, honest, thoughtful, logical and full of love for women, children, families and each other. They are meticulous in their decisions on how to use FCL's resources effectively and feel a strong sense of responsibility toward Its members and supporters. They into every decision the board makes on their behalf.
The members and supporters themselves come from a variety of circumstances and lifestyles but are united in the knowledge that we can do better for our women and children in the womb than abortion, better for all of people than euthanasia, the death penalty, poverty and injustice, better for our world than war and better in our science than violent research on embryos. They live to promote a peaceful world.
You can place full confidence in FCL.
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
watching young college students learn about or change their minds about abortion, watching women learn about what the real beliefs of early feminists were, hearing legislators and the general public express a new understanding on how abortion really effects women, coming to a better understanding within myself what it really means to be pro-life.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
want to increase the radius of FCL's influence in NY.
How does this organization compare with others in the same sector?
How much of an impact do you think this organization has?
Will you recommend this organization to others?
What is unique about this organization?
Rather than focus on the ethical and moral problems with abortion and other life issues, which other pro-life organizations do very well, FCL approaches pro-life issues from a women's health perspective and with non-violence, non-discrimination and justice for all people as its ultimate goal
