When I first encountered CoachArt, I was taken by the importance of the service they provide. But it wasn't until I attended a CoachArt event at a hospital and looked into the faces of the children that were being served. Not only those undergoing various treatments, but their siblings as well who were made just for that day in that moment to feel special and only be concerned about having fun, instead of healing and mortality, which are things even as adults we struggle with grasping. I learned two lessons that day. The first was how incredibly resilient and strong these children were and the second how critical, important and outstanding this organization was. They serve an important need, and do it well.
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
I have experienced the results of this organization by talking to and witnessing its impact with the populations it serves. They are genuinely thankful and truly moved by how it impacts their families.
Ways to make it better...
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
None. I am a fairly analytical person, but think it is operating at a very high level of effectiveness. The only thing I would change is increasing the budget (if it were within my personal resources to do so). They need more money to do more of what they do!
General Member of the Public & I helped raise awareness of the organization.
