My son took his own life. My husband and I needed to find a place where others might be able to understand our pain, where we wouldn't hear banalities such as "he's in a better place" or "it's time to get on with your lives." We needed a place that was nonsectarian and where we could feel free to speak without fear of judgement. I was shocked that the group was so small. The intimacy of such a small group has helped us tremendously.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
We are moving through the stages of grief...not always quickly and not always in a forward direction. But we know that support is just a call or few days away.
Ways to make it better...
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Have the meetings start later so that I don't need to take vacation time each time I attend a meeting.
