Ceres Community Project
June 22, 2011
I heard about the Ceres Community Project when it first started using QuickBooks software for the bookkeeping. As a QuickBooks Certified Professional Advisor, I wanted to help setup the books so that the executive director and the board of directors could get the reports they needed. I felt strongly that this was a non-profit program that deserved my time and expertise. I think it is important to empower teen-age young people and show them the grace that comes from volunteering their time. I also think that healthy food and good nutrition are essential factors in healing the body. Giving food to those in need, especially those who have a health crisis, is one of the most basic things we do. Ceres does all of this and so much more!
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
I have received some of the meals prepared by the teens, and it was some of the most amazing food I have ever eaten!
Ways to make it better...
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Keep the focus on food and nutrition, and keep expanding the reach of who is being served, including those who can afford to purchase the meals.
Professional with expertise in this field & I created the bookkeeping system that allows each manager to get the reports he or she needs.
