CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASE FOUNDATION
June 7, 2011
As a cardio patient of Dr. Franklin Zalman, M.D. , F.A.C.C., the founder of Cardiovascular Disease Foundation (CVDF) , I was introduced to the foundation Executive Director Malinda Engerer, whose dedication and energy have lead to the growth and success of the foundation. I have worked as a volunteer and as an adviser in support of health fairs, body fat and blood-pressure screenings, fundraisers, attended various public lectures on health and nutrition, now directed to the youth in an effort to prevent future heart attack victims. I have particularly enjoyed the Walk/Run for Life held annual at the Oceanside Pier Amphitheater and working with all the other volunteers in making a difference.
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
Being better educated in nutrition and making better choices, taking responsibility for my health and trying to maintain better fitness by playing more golf.
Ways to make it better...
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Keep growing & getting the word out about the availability of CVDF as a great resource for the local community.
