Review for Valley Bible Fellowship of Las Vegas, Las Vegas, NV, USA

Rating: 2 stars

I requested a copy of the IRS 990 and was told that they knew nothing about it. After I explained their obligation as a 501(c)3 to provide such information upon request, I was stonewalled. That was a year ago, and they still have not complied.

There is no public financial accountability mechanism in this organization.

One would think that they know the Bible commands Christians to "avoid all appearance of evil."

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

I have not received a satisfactory explanation to my inquiry.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

They should comply with the IRS Code and be financially accountable as requuired by law and Christian ethics.

Role:  Professional with expertise in this field & I spoke with the associate pastor about this matter.

VBF is a registered 501(c)3 with the IRS. It is not mandatory to file a 990 with the IRS as they are recognized as a church and do not have to file. If you would like to request financial accountabilty of the church. I would call the church office and request a copy of a financial report which they are obligated to show you as the books are open. Valley Bible is and will continue to be accountable in this area and I would just ask to speak to the accounts manager. I hope this satisfies your question. I have attended VBF for over 3 years and have been a believer for over 25 years in Las Vegas and I can honestly say that VBF has answered every question I have asked and validated with back-up. Hope this answers your question! Be blessed at VBF
