Our mission is to champion reading and empower our community through free access to quality resources, outstanding services and dynamic programs.
The library stands behind its national Family Place designation with a strong commitment to children ages birth through five and their caregivers. The concept reaches across the entire library and staff are trained to connect information and resources to caregivers who may be struggling. At the core of this concept is the parent/child workshop. Staff invite local people trained in areas of child development, physical education and the arts to visit the (4) week sessions to talk to parents one-on-one while the child plays and socializes with other children. Caregivers have an opportunity to see model parenting practices and socialize with others.
