I Believe Music has the Power to HealMy name is Gabbie Rae; I am a 17 year old singer and I am passionate about standing up to bullying and lending my voice to create real change in the world. As someone who experienced bullying first hand, I don’t want anyone to have to endure the pain and suffering that can come from being bullied and I want to let kids everywhere know they are not alone. I know how powerful and healing music can be and it’s important to me to give back by sharing my experience with other kids through my music and letting them know that their experience with bullying does not need to define them. Three years ago, I teamed up with an anti-bullying nonprofit, Free2Luv (free2luv.org), who utilizes music and the arts to empower kids, celebrate their individuality and spread kindness. I’m honored to be a Celebrity Ambassador for this awesome organization. Together, we have reached millions of families through our FRIENDS DON’T LET FRIENDS BULLY campaign. I’ve performed on their anti-bullying anthem and in their ‘Rock Your Own Lyrics’ empowerment concert series designed to encourage kids to follow their dreams and not be afraid to be themselves. My fans that reach out and share their stories move me and I feel so proud to be able to be there for them and be a voice for change. I believe that one person truly can make a difference and I’m honored to stand with an organization that makes it their daily mission to empower youth and celebrate everyone’s uniqueness. I’m dedicated to Free2Luv and their mission and I plan to continue to support their efforts to create a kinder world. It would ROCK if you did, too! Sincerely,Gabbie Rae
I just want to say once again that what you are doing to promote awareness, kindness and acceptance with your anti bully campaign and Instagram account, brings me to tears. It is so heartwarming when groups rally around children such as my son and his siblings. Keep up the great work.
Free2Luv is an amazing organization, run by an even more amazing group of humans! The heart of their message touches a variety of issues, whether it's bullying, struggling with one's identity, or self-acceptance - they teach the important lessons of self-love, and knowing YOU MATTER through the arts. We collaborated with Free2Luv on a short LGBTQ film, that went on two win awards and screen at a multitude of film festivals. We are proud to have worked with them, fundraise and support their cause and even prouder to be a part of the Free2luv family. - The Riot Life
It was an honor to collab with you on Piece of Cake and support LGBTQ in their coming out process. Your support has been instrumental in our LGBTQ outreach and we feel incredibly blessed to have you in our family. Keep spreading your bright light in the world!
I absolutely love this nonprofit! They stand for an amazing cause, yet also promote the power and idea of love to ALL. As a LGBT individual who grew up being bullied and put down, I really love the cause behind this nonprofit. It truly is one of my very favorites. So thankful for stumbling across them.
We're super happy to have connected with you, too and thank you for all of your help spreading our mission. You're awesome! Keep spreadin' the LUV!
It fills my heart with so much luv and a sense of thankfulness to be an advocate with such an amazing empowering non profit that is bringing so much luv into a world that needs more luv and kindness
We're so blessed to have you in our movement spreading LUV and kindness. Thank you for using your voice to inspire and empower others!
Free2Luv is an amazing organization that truly operates from the heart. Their mission is a powerful & oh-so important one (actually, more like crucial in this day and age), and their people are dedicated, passionate, creative, kind, compassionate and professional.
I've partnered up with them and donate a percentage of my (business) sales to them, and every interaction has been an absolute joy. It is a pleasure and an honor to be involved with this incredible non-profit.
THANK YOU Free2Luv for your wonderful work! Ultimately, we all benefit from it.
We feel blessed to have the support of amazing companies such as yours. Thank you for sharing your big heart with our organization. So proud to have this beautiful line of handmade jewelry support our youth empowerment initiatives http://magdamolina.com/collections/lovewins
I have been a fan, supporter and donor of Free2Luv since their inception and am so proud of everything they do to make the world a better place for ALL! Their new Free2BeME art project is so amazing. Art brings people together and seeing what's inside kid's hearts is both moving and beautiful. I'm also really looking forward to seeing the LGBT short film they've created to support LGBTQ youth. I can't wait to see what comes next for this passionate group. You can be sure I will support all of their work and I encourage you to do the same. Our youth need each of us! This organization has proven to me that when you care, you can really make a difference in the world.
Your support means so much to us! Thank you for helping us spread the word that LUV is STRONGER than hate.
I am a big fan of this nonprofit! Rather than focusing on the problem, they are solution oriented, empowering youth and reminding them of their strength and purpose. Free2Luv provides a place where youth can feel accepted for who they are and can deal with big issues including bullying and/or struggling with their identity. I love how they use art and music to uplift. Not only do they provide daily inspiration on social media, they also have a website filled with wonderful resources. I am happy to support their mission and thank them for making my life better and the lives of so many others. Way to go, Free2Luv!
We truly appreciate you sharing our movement with the world. Together, we are creating change and we thank you.
I have never been a victim of bullying, although I have been called things in the past, it was more sort of from family talking about my weight, they never meant it in a way to make me feel bad even though it made me feel terrible. I wanted to do something about bullying after I experienced something very sad. I witnessed a guy with a slight disability getting mocked by others due to the way he talked, and getting threats of getting beat up. All of this was just because this boy turned around to browse the metro to see who was on.He did not bother anyone at all, but a certain guy wanted to be "Funny" and decided to be very rude. No one laughed but one of his friends. I felt bad for not standing up to the bully even though I so badly wanted to say something. The reason I did not say anything was for the fear of making things worse, and or having this bully hurt me or my friends because he looked like a guy who would be in a gang. What I did do was talk to the victim and make a conversation with him, so that the bully could see that I did not think he was funny, and that this boy could have as many friends and even much more friends than him even with his disability. What matters is who someone is, not what problem they may have. This opened my eyes and let me see how big this problem really is. It made me realize that many people don't stand up to help because of fear.I started to do research on anti bullying organizations and came across Free2Luv. Immediately I became interested in joining the movement and doing anything in my hands to help bring awareness. I decided to do my final project in my civics class dedicating it to bullying, where i will be talking about this amazing organization that can help so many kids and teens, around the world. Free2Luv deserves to be more out there and I want to help by sharing with those I know and hoping they decide to join the movement. This organization is amazing and its shooting for a great cause.
You showed bravery, kindness and compassion and that is what our movement is all about! So often people don't think of the damage their words or actions can cause. Kindness is always the answer! We are happy you have found us and we look forward to having you in the Free2Luv family.
Lilly and the team at Free2Luv deliver a great message through their work...that bullying should be at the forefront of societal issues faced today and that it can be combated with respect. With creative, engaging, and *gasp* modern campaigns/messaging, the team really knows how to drive their mission home as evidenced by their growing team of youth advocates and celebrity ambassadors.
