The mission of The Catalyst Foundation is to Create a Healing Society

Under this umbrella, we are dedicated to decreasing the impact of unhealed emotional pain and trauma (from childhood abuse, neglect, and other difficult life situations) on society and the world through direct service, public education, advocacy, policy reform, and empowerment of directly affected and disenfranchised groups. We are also dedicated to improving the health and well-being of low-income, uninsured, and homeless persons through high-quality, compassionate medical care, mental health services, health education, and supportive social services.
Weathering the storm of financial crisis in 2010, The Catalyst Foundation embraced volunteers, interns and externs in an array of Workforce Development Training Programs. Our volunteer workforce grew from two to over twenty day to day volunteers and included hundreds of per-project volunteers who assisted in our clinic, food pantry, healing center and even helped us produce our first ever benefit concert featuring activist musicians Tom Morello and others.
