CATALYST FOUNDATION FOR AIDS AWARENESS AND CARE Overview
Target demographics: The Catalyst Foundation serves adults recovering from childhood abuse and other life traumas as well as the homeless, people with HIV/AIDS and HepC and the impoverished and uninsured with compassionate Trauma Informed care.
Direct beneficiaries per year: Over 1,500 persons per year
Someone who had 3 hours of volunteer time could: Package groceries in our food pantry, assist making copies and creating information packages for our info and fundraising campaign to move to a new building, The Under One Roof Project
Geographic areas served: Los Angeles County, Antelope Valley, Lancaster, Palmdale

Under this umbrella, we are dedicated to decreasing the impact of unhealed emotional pain and trauma (from childhood abuse, neglect, and other difficult life situations) on society and the world through direct service, public education, advocacy, policy reform, and empowerment of directly affected and disenfranchised groups. We are also dedicated to improving the health and well-being of low-income, uninsured, and homeless persons through high-quality, compassionate medical care, mental health services, health education, and supportive social services.
