I started participating in this non profit about 2 years ago when I entered my artwork into their bi-annual Creative Art Empowerment Contest and was blessed to receive a $1000 scholarship. Ms. Madonna Cole-Lacy, the founder, invited me in as a peer leader of the organization, as I soon found out how special the team was. The organization creates a powerful and empowering educational environment where the youth may learn and have a platform to share their individual expression. I am very grateful to have been a part of an organization so necessary in the community.
