Mission: WomenInDistress.com, founded in 2002, is a registered trademark and grew out of the need to bring an end to domestic violence. Women In Distress, Inc., is dedicated to empowering women so the cycle of violence can end and all women can live without fear. The goal is to build a sanctuary that will be run by previous victims of abuse and house women in need from all 50 states. Our facility will not be run by high society paychecks that care not about these women. We will make a difference and will not take government funds to pay high salaries. We rely on private companies and the public to reach our goals and stop the cycle of abuse. We run strictly on volunteers, nobody gets a paycheck! Not even the directors.
