Mission: Improving science instruction in wisconsin by working with science instructors k-college
Programs: Conference 2017 - attended by 487 science teachers for 2. 5 days. There were 10 field trips offered, 10 workshops and over 100 sessions, 3 major speakers who worked with attendees to improve science content knowledge and teaching skills.
three printed newsletters of 16-18 pages and one electronic copy, were sent to over 800 science teachers. A website is maintained for the membership and other science educators. An e-blast of updated science information is sent monthly to members.
we support several grant programs for members. Funds may be used for classroom materials, travel to professional conferences, professional development activities. These are all competitive opportunities for members of wsst. We added as essay contest this year for members and their students.
