My daughter, Joanna Swift, is the WYO's Administrative Director, after serving for two years as its Program Director. I am a Shadow Work facilitator, trained in Jungian psychology to listen carefully to what a person is really saying beneath the words, with a client practice since 2001. Joanna is an exceptional listener, and as a person is empathetic and supportive while remaining firm on boundaries, all of which makes her an outstanding mentor to young people. She's told me in confidence from time to time about the students who visit the WYO and how she engages with them, and I'm consistently impressed by her ability to reach them and help them where they are. Any parent of a student who visits the WYO can feel absolute confidence that their child will receive appropriate support and mentoring from Joanna and the staffers she supervises. I recommend the WYO without reservation.

I am currently on the Board of Directors, and was an attendee of the WYO when I was in High School. The WYO stands as one of few organizations on the North Shore that provides a broad spectrum of services to the local youth. We encourage you to attend a concert that we host, volunteer at one of our service projects, or drop-in to see what we're all about.
