Causes: Botanical Gardens & Arboreta, Environment
Mission: What Cheer Flower Farm, a 501c3 charity, is dedicated to bringing joy and comfort when it is most crucial. We grow flowers on our urban, organic farm and donate them – for free - for social good, because everyone deserves a bouquet. Next, we will open a wedding flower recycling center, and ultimately a ‘green’ jobs training center at our farm in Providence.
Target demographics: We grow, rescue and give away flowers to underserved people in stress, including: Patients in hospitals and hospices; At-risk youth; seniors with dementia; People in recovery centers and shelters; and food bank recipients.
Direct beneficiaries per year: In 2020, What Cheer Farm gave away over 55,000 flowers to people in need.
