WAMM is a public organization formed for the education and exchange of investment management ideas, concepts, and techniques in an atmosphere free from sales pressure. Since the original thirteen members formed the group in the summer of 1980, WAMM’s membership has expanded to include members of the public and investment professionals from a wide array of organizations in and around Washington DC and Baltimore. WAMM members include portfolio managers, investment advisors, investment analysts, traders, and institutional sales professionals from banking, money management, trust estate management, consulting firms, broker dealers, trade associations, and various government agencies. WAMM’s mission is to educate the public and its members with timely and informative market opinions via our monthly speaker presentations and to continue our tradition of providing an informal forum for the exchange of views. A Few of Our Past Guest Speakers include Alan Greenspan, Dr. Alice Rivlin, L. William Seidman, Lawrence Kudlow and many others. Names of speakers from the past three years may be found on our website at www.wammdc.org. Our meetings feature a guest speaker who gives an educational presentation and entertains questions. WAMM’s presence in the nation’s capital has enabled us to draw some of the top financial and economic speakers to our educational program series. We hold at least nine monthly meetings per year from September through May. Our meetings are held in downtown Washington, DC for the convenience of our members.
