Causes: International, International Peace & Security
Mission: The coalition for peace with justice works for a just and sustainable peace in israel-palestine. We educate the public, advocate for change based on equal rights, and directly support peace builders in israel-palestine.
Programs: Education - the coalition provides programs and information to the general public about the struggles of palestinians living under military occupation in palestine that western media does not adequately cover. Seventeen programs and events featuring local, national and international speakers from israel-palestine were held. Attendance at programs ranged from 25 to 100 participants. Information about the israeli-palestinian conflict is provided through our website, through mail, email and list serve postings and through public access tv.
advocacy - the coalition provides information and resources as well as arranges opportunities for our constituents to engage in media and political advocacy calling for a change in u. S foreign policy that will foster a just peace in israel-palestine. We encourage individuals to submit letters to the editor, participate in public actions, and petition and meet with elected officials.
direct support - the coalition provides financial support to palestinian and israeli peace-building organizations that are committed to non-violent resistance to the military occupation of palestine and who provide educational, social and medical assistance to palestinians. Thousands of individuals are impacted by these organizations. These connections inform our work and allow us to provide accurate and timely information to the general public about the current state of the israeli-palestinian conflict.
