Public schools serve a wide diversity of children and learning styles/skills. Children who have struggled with reading through primary grades, often have given up, or turned off, and now actively avoid any attempts to offer assistance - open defiance or passive aggression towards the learning process frequently results. This approach gives hope and success to the most reluctant of learners because it offers a pathway, with immediate results, towards the ability to read. With reading being a basic building block for learning, self-esteem and a successful life in general, I would encourage any and all teachers, reading specialists etc. to include this program in your classrooms. You will be impressed with the results!

We collaborated with Vibrant Learning Affiliates and used the Words Ahead Program in conjunction with our Tutor USA program in school districts across the nation. Words Ahead is truly effective and innovative, based on the best science of reading acquisition and principal that sight-sound recognition (phonemic awareness) is the key to learning to read...for all children, including ESL learners and those with learning difficulties. Every parent and teacher should try Words Ahead for themselves and with their children. Once children learn to read, they can easily LEARN TO LOVE to read...and succeed.

Thank you to WordsAhead for your help and support with my 1st grade class last year. I was assigned a 2-3 combo this year and have many of the same kids.
