Mission: The mission of Upstate-Carolina Adaptive Golf (UCAG) is to serve individuals with physical and cognitive disabilities and provide opportunities for adaptive golf. UCAG serves veterans, individuals recovering from physical or mental trauma, adults and children with developmental, cognitive, and physical disabilities. UCAG addresses issues of lack of equity in adaptive recreation and enhances lives, improves mobility, and provides hope and encouragement through a therapeutic adaptive approach to the game of golf.
Results: Hosted 22 Adaptive Golf Clinics throughout the upstate Enhanced the lives of over 200 participants Hosted 1 Adaptive Golf Coach Training: 22 Trained Coaches Co-Host Els for Autism Coach Training: 23 Trained Coaches
Target demographics: provide benchmarks for improvements in physical health, psycho-social status, cognitive status, and recreation activity within the community to measure our impact on length and quality of life for disabled Veterans and special needs communities
