Causes: International, United Nations Associations
Mission: Public education of UN and international issues
Geographic areas served: United Nations Association of Greater Boston (UNAGB) is dedicated to building a grassroots network of global citizens in the greater Boston area. From middle school students to business leaders, we foster international dialogues, cross-disciplinary approaches to global issues, and cross-generational interactions within our community. From peacekeeping and human rights to global health and the environment, we hope to inform, inspire, engage and mobilize the community on a broad range of international issues addressed by the UN and its agencies.
Programs: Our public programs include Global Issues, Young Professionals and Women’s Forum series and two signature fundraising events – the UN Day Luncheon and the Consuls Ball. Our Model UN program is used in over 100 schools where we provide teacher training, curricula, and in-class support.
