The service provided to the senior citizen community by Twin Falls Senior Citizen's Center is unmatched. The employees and the administration work endless hours and days to get food and support to our seniors. The community of Twin Falls need to understand if not observe the amount of money and time that goes into this valuable service plus the never ending battle that Jeanette Roe deals with on the fiscal side of this center. Eventually we will all need this center for support . Lets help This center continue its journey.
The Meals on Wheels drivers are the most amazing people. They take the time to chat with my in-laws while they deliver the food. They even found my in-laws confused or sick and called right away with concern for them. It's not just a meal, it's a link to the outside world for home bound seniors. Love them and highly recommend them!
I have been going to the Senior Center for several years participating in the exercise program which I truly love, not only for the health benefits, but for the many wonderful acquaintances I have made. It gave me a purpose in life to volunteer and socialize with people of all walks. The center is a warm and friendly place to gather for so many functions and activities, it's always nicely adorned with seasonal decorations which is always a mood lifter. The meals are always tasty and nutritious.
It takes a very capable person to run a facility of that magnitude. I cannot imagine what it takes to do that job: shopping for groceries, planning the meals, preparing the monthly calendar, assigning various jobs, the list goes on and on. Jeannette has been a very dedicated director, she always tries to meet the needs of the people and listen to their concerns. We are all looking forward to the reopening of the center - when the time is right!
I have been involved with the Senior Center for over 10 years. I had retired and became certified to lead the exercise class (Fit and Fall Proof). In the beginning of my time with the Senior Center, the Center was going through directors often. Jeanette came on board and since then. things have become very stable. She is very dedicated with keeping the facility clean, healthy and safe for its elderly. Since the Covid virus has hit our great country, she has made the difficult decision to keep the facility closed except for home delivered meals. This has had a profound effect on everyone who attended the Center for the great meals as well as those who came to exercise or partake in other activities the Center provides. I know it has been hard for the Center, also, and for the revenue. Jeanette is an outstanding director and always made it a point to visit with everyone. Everyone is looking forward to the Center reopening but understanding that it is closed for our safety. Thank you, Jeanette, for all you do. If anyone can afford to make a donation to the Center, please do so.
Thank you.
I work with Jeannette Roe (director) and the Twin Falls Senior Center in the production of their monthly newsletter. I have done this for several years, and also work with a number of other senior centers across the country from Alaska to Connecticut. I have had a "front row seat' for all these years to watch all that goes on at this senior center. There is always a beehive of activities going on for the seniors each and every day. It is not uncommon to see well over 200 seniors participating each day in the various activities and programs that are offered there. Senior centers operate on shoestring budgets and those that work there end up doing much, much more than they are paid to do. It is truly an act of service. The seniors in Twin Falls count on the senior center for social interaction, keeping their minds active, and helping them not feel lonely and forgotten. Jeannette and her staff work from early morning until late in the evening most days to create a warm, inviting environment that keeps the Twin Falls senior population young and living vibrant, productive lives. The center is impeccably clean and the meals delicious and carefully planned to provide proper nourishment for the seniors. This is truly a "model" for what senior centers should be across the nation.
The Twin Falls Senior Center is a great asset to this community. It is a great place for the Seniors to gather and socialize while getting a nutritious meal. They serve around 300 homebound Seniors on a monthly basis. The largest program the Center has is the Meals on Wheels program which provides meals to vulnerable home bound seniors and currently many are afraid to leave their homes due to COVID.
I have been a volunteer driver for the last 14 months. The management, staff, and volunteers are great individuals who really care about the elderly of our community.
I've been volunteering with the senior center in Twin Falls for a number of years the staff is always so friendly and so helpful. Their hearts are so for the community of seniors we have that need to be taken care of.
Supporting the center is a must.
The Twin Falls Senior Center is a vital contributor to our senior population. Without the Center's Meals on Wheels program, many of our home bound citizens would not have any food or social interaction. The Center serves approximately 2,000 different individuals who utilized the services at the Center and the Meals on Wheels program .
The Twin Falls Senior Center is an incredible asset to our community. They provide such important services for our seniors. Providing daily nutrition to individuals regardless of their ability to pay allows many seniors to remain in their homes
Jeanette Roe, Executive Director is dedicated to the mission of the Center and puts in countless hours to make sure no Senior in our community should be food insecure.
The center is like a family environment for many.

I am 85 years old and my wife of 61 years of marriage is 83 years old. The senior center has been an excellent place for us to go and have a meal that is nutritious and filling. It allows Us to get out of the house and visit with many friends. It is also a place that We can get exercise classes and have a game of cards. The meals on wheels is second to none and without it many seniors would not have a meal and the person delivering the meals has a chance to check on them and make sure everything is o k with them.
Jeanette Roe is a fearless leader who will step up and do anything needed, including other employees jobs when necessary, to serve the seniors of this area. As a long time employee/volunteer I have seen this time and again. Very dedicated to the community.
My husband and I moved to Twin Falls six months ago. We were looking for a place where we could meet other retired seniors and get socially involved with our community. So, we decided to check out the Twin Falls Senior Center. Here we were warmly greeted by a group of caring people who quickly got us involved in group activities. As a vegetarian, the staff went out of their way to ensure that I had nutritious meals prepared for me that I could enjoy along with everyone else- which made me feel special. We enjoy our time at the Center so much, and realize how important it is to give back to this worthy organization, that my husband now volunteers in the cafeteria and I teach a few computer classes. The Twin Falls Senior Center prepares delicious food for its Seniors every day. In addition to the meals served inside the Center, meals are delivered to the home bound through the Meals on Wheels program.
We have come in here several times over the last 6 months and have had our expectations exceeded! Jeanette Roe is amazing and so knowledgeable! We helped us with our Medicare and Social Security concerns for both my husband and I. I highly recommend the Senior Citizen Center for fun, conversation, food and excellent assistance for senior needs!
The Twin Falls senior center staff is some of the most kind and respectful people i have ever met! They make sure they help you to the best of their ability and make sure you feel welcomed and never a bother! I enjoy spending time at the senior center!
Great community asset for an under-served segment of our population. Over 80,000 meals served to home bound seniors in 2018- Thank you TF Senior Center!
I have recently been a Senior Companion for the CSI Dept of Aging until the program was recently terminated due to lack of funds. I always took my senior companions to the TF senior center to eat, and they all loved it. Not only the food, but the fellowship. I highly recommend this organization.
I go to the Senior Center in Twin Falls for their lunch oftentimes even though I live in Buhl which is about 18 miles away. It is always good to be with others my age and the food is plentiful!
My parents started attending this great center three years ago. The manager, Jeannette, should write a book for other senior centers on how to do more with little. I can attest that the quality of meals surpasses what I have seen at Puget Sound senior centers. It seems to be an exemplary model facility given the restricted resources at their disposal.
I have been involved with Twin Falls Senior center since 2012 and I have watched how it has improved through the years and I believe it can attributed to Jeanette Roe the Director she puts the Senior first and her employees.
It is the place to go for Seniors They have a great lunch menu and easy to meet people. If you have a problem, Jeanette try's to help any way she can.
I have had the privilege of working with Jeannette and her crew for the past 6 years. We enjoy the facility on a regular basis - we have a weekly bridge game as well as an annual benefit for the Alzheimers Assn -- "The Longest Day" of bridge. Jeanette oversees the warm/comfortable gathering place - food, cleanliness, interesting activities, entertainment. And in her "SPARE TIME" writes grants for additional funding. Thank you Jeanette and staff for always making us feel welcome.

We go to the Senior Center in Twin Falls, Idaho to eat & fellowship with others. It is a very enjoyable place to go. There are also many informative speakers that come to talk to the seniors weekly which helps us in our daily lives
We had my dad’s funeral here as well as my Uncles. It was a great alternative to a funeral home. The staff are wonderful to work with. They will do as much or as little as you want. Including catering a meal or providing snacks. I would highly recommend this place for an event.
This is a incredible resource for our city. The meals are incredible and the atmosphere is welcoming to all. As the coordinator for the Office of Emergency Management for our county. The center is designated as a shelter for seniors and the administrator is so proactive in all areas of preparedness, planning, mitigation and recovery. First rate, and one of the best, Twin Falls Senior Citizen Center is one of the best nonprofit in the state.
The Twin Falls Senior Center fills a huge need in our community. It is more than just feeding some of our most vulnerable citizens. Recently I have had the opportunity to help serve breakfast at their monthly fundraising. I was there with the Twin Falls City Youth Council and my family. The Senior Center reaches out to the entire community, being actively involved with the Chamber of Commerce. It is critical in today’s society to network and share resources. Jeanette and her team are incredible. They can take a little and make it stretch so far.
This wonderful senior center serves my mom and dad a Home Delivered Meal Monday - Friday. Mom has Alzheimer's disease and dad is at end stage COPD. A few months ago dad was outside and attempted to lift a jug of water. He then fell to the ground with a broken back from this action. He was outside for over 45 minutes when the Twin Falls Senior Federation Home Delivered Meal volunteer driver drove up and got him help. I will forever be grateful. My parents enjoy the wonderful meal they receive daily; this has helped them maintain independence in their own homes. Thanks again Twin Falls Senior Federation for all you do!
