JOANNA TOPPAWRESCUE CHARGES PEOPLE 40.00 TO TAKE A STRAY/FERAL/OR OWNED CAT AWAY , SHE ALSO CHARGES A DEPOSIT OF 60.00 FOR THE TRAP SHE SETS TO CATCH THESE CATS, I WAS TOLD. SHE TELLS THE PERSON NOT TO FEED THE CAT OR CATS, SO THESE CATS ARE STARVED , WHEN MANY ARE USED TO BEING FED REGULARLY, WHICH IS CRUEL AND INHUMANE. I WONDER HOW MANY OWNED CATS SHE HAS TAKEN IN THESE TRAPS WHEN WORKING WITH PROPERTY OWNER OR TENANT WHO HATES CATS WANDERING ON THEIR PROPERTY, or THAT GET TIRED OF FEEDING THEM , AND THEY ARE
MORE THAN HAPPY TO PAY HER TO REMOVE THEM ? THERE ARE HORRIBLE REVIEWS FOR THIS NOW SUPPOSEDLY PER HER OWN FACEBOOK PAGE WEBSITE CLOSED RESCUE AS OF APRIL 4TH 2018. HER WEBSITE IS NOT ACTIVE : CLICK THIS LINK : http://prntscr.com/j8q5df http://prntscr.com/j8q66r
SHE IS STILL OPERATING AND CHARGING PEOPLE AND REMOVING CATS OFF PROPERTY. AND STATING SHE IS TOPPAWSRESCUE INC. https://www.facebook.com/TopPawRescueInc/posts/10156074392941745 READ THIS ONE REVIEW ON THIS LINK : https://greatnonprofits.org/org/top-paw-rescue-inc AND THERE ARE MORE. RESEARCH THE PERSON AND THE REVIEWS.
THERE ARE MANY WONDERFUL LEGIT RESCUES IN SOUTH FL. THAT UNLIKE Joanna M TOPPAWSRESCUE, DO NOT TAKE PEOPLES MONEY AND THEN CLAIM TO USE IT FOR VETTING , THAT ACCORDING TO MORE THAN ONE REVIEWER WHO CONTACTED VETS SHE CLAIMED TO OF USED, SAID SHE DID NOT TAKE CATS THERE, AFTER SPEAKING WITH THAT VETS OFFICE . NO LEGIT RESCUE CHARGES FOR ACCEPTING A CAT OR TRAPPING A CAT. IN MY LIFETIME NEVER HEARD OF SUCH A THING, BUT I AM SURE SHE IS MAKING A TIDY LITTLE INCOME FOR WHAT SHE IS DOING AND AS STATED IN THE REVIEWS "NO ONE KNOWS WHAT IS REALLY HAPPENING TO THE CATS SHE TAKES" PER QUOTES FROM REVIEWS FOR THE TOPPAWSRESCUE OF HOLLYWOOD, FL. PLEASE IF YOU NEED HELP WITH FINDING A HOME FOR A CAT , SEARCH AND RESEARCH RESCUES PRIOR TO HANDING A HELPLESS, VOICELESS CAT OR DOG , TO ANYONE AND YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY A RESCUE IF THEY STATE THEY WILL HELP YOU BY ACCEPTING THE CAT OR DOG. ON JOANNA'S OWN FB PAGE DATED APRIL 4TH 2018 SHE SPEAKS OF HER RESCUE PROBLEMS AND COMPLAINTS , I READ THIS JUST THE OTHER DAY ON HER PAGE WHICH SHE SAID SHE IS LEAVING UP AT THE MOMENT :

OUR TIME TO SAY GOODBYE
It has come to our attention recently that we are apparently being classified in the same group with animal abusers and we're being listed on tons of sites such as DNA Florida, skam rescues, and many many other sites where you will find tons of rescues that allowed animals to starve or they were killed tortured. fortunately we don't fall into that category. So now what we're being picked on for is not having our 501 c 3. Okay I can give everyone that but if everyone would like to take a moment and look through our complete page you will see that never once did we neglect a huge medical case such as if everyone remembers her Angelina. Back from 2009 she was going to be euthanized for her looks and she managed to live an additional four wonderful years before passing away of Two Strokes with her owner in Kentucky. Then there have been many others as well Patty Gary we've taken on hundreds of mange cases we've taken on tons of pregnant mothers that mdas was ready to euthanize or get rid of all the puppies. so unfortunately in our case we've never really had the thousands of dollars required to pay for the 501 c 3 instead our money has always gone towards the animals. Someone claims that they spoke with our vets and that are vets hate us yet they have a lot of our records on file but under my name not always under the rescue name and that was a mistake I made years ago I put half the animals under my name and half of them under the rescue name. When I first started out no one really helped me figure everything out I basically learned along the way but I always knew what Humane treatment of animals was and that will never change in my heart.
Unfortunately for the rescue we still don't have the thousands of dollars required for a 501 c 3 and that's going to take time at the moment I have a puppy that's going to see an orthopedic specialist tomorrow and a lot of money is going to go to the ortho with him alone...
So with this being said and the continued slander and lies about how we dumped and kill animals it is very unfortunate that when you have a large group of people that play telephone and categorize Us in categories we don't fit in for everyone that knows us that hinders the animals at a large expense.
unfortunately these groups of people would prefer to destroy us then to assist us. If the 501 c 3 is such a main concern for everyone why doesn't this large group of people gather and help collect donations they don't have to give it to us and they can help us pay the 501 C3 so they can see us where they would like us to be instead they come up with their own stories and more. The unfortunate part about everything is at the end of the day I've rescued hundreds thousands even since I started in 2009 but the strain and the stress that these people are putting on us is quite large. The animals are unfortunately the ones affected by this more than anything. At this point I'm making the decision to contact resq's I work with and hopefully Passover the remaining animals we have in Foster and boarding and we are announcing OUR FINAL GOODBYE
I can't say that these last few years since 2009 hasn't been heartwarming or amazing because it truly has. I've worked with so many people we've done so many wonderful things and placed so many animals that otherwise without us would have been euthanized. But the amount of Stress and Anxiety that comes along with rescuing is already big on itself not to throw in that these large groups block me immediately once I tried to reply with my defense. Eventually everything must come to an end and I guess this is where our end comes in.
I hope everyone who has wished for us to shut down is happy. I will miss rescuing and I will miss what I do but that doesn't mean that I have to stop helping strays or stop feeding colonies. I hope everyone has enjoyed us along the way if anybody has had wonderful experiences with us please feel free to comment below our page will stay up for at least another month to give me time to collect all of my memories off of Facebook.
THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HAS SUPPORTED US ALONG THE WAY!!!

Joanna takes donations and spends the money on herself not the animals. The animals get dumped. She will lie and try and make you believe her stories, but don’t. I called the vets she supposedly uses and none of them have seen her bring a single cat in. BEWARE! Read google reviews on her and you will get a clear picture of her deception.
Joanna is amazing I reached out to her late one night about a mom and pups in the woods and she immediately responded and was there the very next day with a foster to rescue them. She really truly cares about these animals and does whatever she can to help them.
I adopted a rescue pup from mama Jelly Bean in 2011 and have followed the Top Paw rescue efforts. They are amazing and do so much for the local community. My "Spike" still is my best buddy and will love him forever!
I have rescued a wonderful pit from total neglect...soooo sad and I am now fostering her. So I researched rescue groups to help me give her exposure and help her find a Forever Home...I signed up with 4...TopPaws being one of the groups. Joanna is the only one of the rescue groups who contacted me after posting her, to see how she was doing and to see If I had any luck finding her a home. She gave me great information about what she does and I'm meeting up with her to look over this sweet poochie...I can't say enough about how great it feels that there's someone out there so devoted to helping these poor animals find a home...I will do what ever I can to help her continue...reading thru her other posts gave me ideas of different ways to donate...love the blankets, towels, socks toys and many other things we can do to help.
Thankx Joanna!
Recently rescued a pit bull family and Didn't ask for a single dime. They rely on public donations but Joanna leaves herself broke just to help the fury voiceless souls. Love Joanna and her work!!!
Top paw is amazing and spends all their energy and efforts accomplishing finding amazing homes for each pet!
Previous Stories
I've known Joanna from Top-Paw since 2009. Way back then myself and a friend adopted 2 kittens from them for her daughter and Joanna was more than help ful. Also back around then and 2010 they helped to TNR cats/kittens for me that were coming to my feeding station. Never did she complain or say she didn't have time or anything like that...it was a phone call and the help was there. I have received good advise regarding different animal situations from Joanna and was fortunate that she picked me to foster one of her rescue dogs named Samantha a little over a year ago. Of course Samantha is still with me and Joanna could not be happier knowing this precious soul is in great hands. I wish more local rescue people would be more down to earth and just be willing to help no matter what the circumstance...I took her to BCAC once to pick up a pittie girl that she was so worried about...She sat in the back of the truck with that doggy and held her like a baby. To me this was a sure sign that she is indeed a pure at heart dog lover and guarded her with her life. Dedicated and real about what she does is what's important. I'm happy to have maintained a "friendship" also all this time. Thanks for all your help ever Joanna !!!! Love Trudie and all the furry kids !!!
Joanna and Top Paw Rescue are stellar! Top Paw does amazing work and rescues and SAVES LIVES on a daily basis. Rescue work is rewarding BUT extremely time consuming and can at times be heartbreaking, BUT Joanna and Top Paw do such a WONDERFUL job helping so many animals in need. GOOD JOB FRIEND.

Thanks friend! Thanks for being such a great supporter!
Joanna does great work, and I know that whatever I donate will be well-spent.

Thank you! All donations are always put to great use!
I donated about 20 blankets and comforters along with a few playpens and (I know funny) socks. Joanna made such great use out of everything when she was rescuing all the pregnant mothers and nursing mothers. She cut holes out of the sides of the playpens so mommies could get in and out meanwhile keeping babies 100% safe. The socks were filled with rice and placed in the playpen for whenever moms needed a little break. I absolutly enjoy reading their stories on facebook about what they have done next.
Everyone should take some time and get to know who they are. Since they started they have been trying to apply for their 501c3. No luck as they rescue the worse cases and spend most of their funding on vetting instead. please help this great org!
I wanted to explain the story of Angelina. This little girl was skin and bones and ready to be destroyed at BCAC. I remember emailing Joanna from Top Paw in regards to her condition as did a few others interested in saving this little girls life. Joanna made some phone calls, pulled some strings and saved her!
This little girl since has found a happy home and moved on to her next chapter in life. Without Joanna there is no way this little angel would be on earth with us now. Thank you for being so amazing!!
