Some children have never been able to purchase a book due to their home situation, but thanks to New Haven READS, they can come in and get new books on a regular basis. The book bank is set up according to age group and kids are excited to pick out new books. In the afternoons, the tutors work with neighborhood kids to help them improve their academic skills. The transformations are amazing, and they can't serve all of the kids that need their help. Please help them keep this program going and hopefully expand someday to help even more families.

This program is so amazing! In just a few months as a tutor I have seen so many kids improve both academically and in their self-esteem. I really wish I could expand the program to my own hometown!
