We've worked with TMP for years and it's been a great relationship. We've learned a lot and gained a lot as well!
The Mentoring Partnership of Southwestern Pennsylvania helped us transform our mentoring program. Prior to working with the MPSWPA, we struggled with recruiting mentors, collecting data and measuring the impact of our efforts. Over the years, the MPSWPA reshaped how we messaged our program to the community, implemented evidenced based approaches, collected data and shared our story with stakeholders, funders and the community at large. We became a more effective program as a result of working with the MPSWPA ~ we took the opportunity to document our success, replicate our efforts across the state and support the growth of a program based on our model in Saipan. We've been recognized nationally as an exemplary program. Thanks to the Mentoring Partnership of Western Pennsylvania (the staff, technical assistance, and opportunities for peer sharing) we benefited from an environment where we could learn, grow and flourish.
The staff at the Mentoring Partnership is caring and committed to helping all kids who need a mentor, find a mentor. Their dedication to assisting area agencies develop and train their staff in best practices is second to none!
I have documented the work of the Mentoring Partnership of Southwestern PA for a decade. They hold a special place in the landscape of “helpers.” They do the heavy lifting of finding caring adults and other resources, preparing those adults to serve and connecting them to agencies who directly serve youth. I have witnessed their strategic functions that create opportunities that direct service agencies do not have the resources or relationships to garner. Their wide reach and cooperative spirit give the youth of the region the best possible opportunity to connect with that important adult, who is not the parent, but who helps kids believe in themselves.
My experiences with TMP , have been very rewarding . I was very inspired by the group of mentors , and , the enthusiasm of the students .Michael M Milch ....(Pgh Pa)
I'm very grateful to the Mentoring Partnership of Southwestern Pennsylvania, because of their genuine commitment to the practice of mentoring. This organization has had a tremendous impact on the mentors in the community because of the quality training they provide. I've had the pleasure of attending multiple training sessions and they always bring the latest information for the participants. As a lifelong mentor and advocate of mentoring, I have a profound respect for the standard set by the Mentoring Partnership to ensure the mentees are receiving quality mentoring.
This outstandingly-managed organization is celebrating 20 years of service this year -- twenty years of raising awareness about mentoring, supporting high-quality mentoring relationships, and connecting tens of thousands of children and youth with caring adults. Bravo!

The Mentoring Partnership of Southwestern PA is an amazing facilitator of mentoring training, programs, and opportunities for individuals and agencies alike. The staff are wonderful, committed individuals who make programs successful for all of their partners.
I love this organization! I used to a part one of the Mentoring Partnership's partnering organizations. When I began my position as Program Coordinator, their program staff sat down with me and helped me structure my program to best meet the needs of my students. Afterwards, they provided mentor training for my staff and continuing professional development for myself and colleagues. They conduct monthly meetings for community partners and that was where I made the majority of my professional contacts and other community partnerships. They do an incredible job at facilitating conversations between organizations as well as providing services to groups that service students.
The Mentoring Partnership brings youth together with community leaders to build fruitful relationships. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgable within the community. If you have an opportunity to work in any capacity with the Mentoring Partnership of SouthWest PA, I wouldn't miss out on it.
