The Mentoring Partnership has been a great organization to work with! They have helping me develop a mentoring program at my school and have offered various trainings for my school.
I am the program manager at Pittsburgh based Mentoring Program. Over the past 5+ years The Mentoring Partnership of SW Pa has been an invaluable resource for trainings, best practices, and support. Every interaction I have had with them has been beneficial for me, my staff, and our program.
It is also worth noting that whenever I am at a loss and unable to find and answer to a program related question - I have been able to reach out and have been met with kindness, professionalism, and guidance.
The services of The Mentoring Partnership of Southwestern Pennsylvania are crucial to improving the lives of young children in our region. Their expertise in training those professionals who present mentoring programs, such as Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Pittsburgh, is invaluable. Their personalized approach to training volunteers and even the families of youth mentees is extremely effective. As a marketing consultant with more than 30 years in the local non-profit industry, I find their approach to collaboration and focus on positive outcomes to be one of the best I've witnessed.
The Mentoring Partnership has been instrumental to my program's mentoring efficacy. Their leaders are resourceful, responsive, and highly skilled at supporting mentoring programs and their members. Their partnership has come at no cost to us as a program which has been an enormous value-add to the youth that we serve. Please support this wonderful nonprofit in their mission to improve the quality of life for youth and mentors alike!
The Mentoring Partnership of Southwestern Pennsylvania is the "go to" organization for organizations like mine, that work with youth and the adults who wish to support them. TMP provides the training and support our mentors need to build their skill and confidence so that they can provide the caring, nurturing relationships youth need.
The Mentoring Partnership of SW PA is a wonderful organization. Our organization launched a mentoring program in 2019, and TMP has been a key advisor and support since the beginning. The staff is always available to provide guidance and advice, and the training they offer to both mentors and mentoring programs is high quality. They always go out of their way to provide support and assistance, even working very closely with us to train our staff as training so that we could begin offering Spanish language mentoring training.
Every experience we have had with Mentoring Partnerships has been excellent. They have helped train our volunteers in everyday & group mentoring practices, created a logic model and supplied best practices for a new peer mentoring program, and have helped us to continue to grow our mentoring programs.
The Mentoring Partnership of Southwestern Pennsylvania has been a phenominal partner to our organization. They have provided relevant training to our mentors for the past 20 years. The staff is excellent, knowledgeable, and always makes the sessions relateable and enjoyable for the participants. Our program has benefitted greatly from their work.
Amachi Pittsburgh has worked with the Mentoring Partnership for several years. Most recently, TMP has provided Amachi Pittsburgh with training that has allowed our staff to expedite the process of onboarding new mentors as while maintaining the standard of best practices. Sophia has also worked diligently to assist Amachi in revamping their strategy to overcome post covid recruitment challenges. The staff and leadership at TMP is both knowledgeable and helpful, and are willing to assist clients in tackling any challenge presented to them. We are better because of this partnership.
Since 2004, I have worked with the Mentoring Partnership of Southwestern Pennsylvania (TMP) through mentoring programs I worked for in the region. I have always found TMP to offer excellent resources, trainings, and networking events for mentoring agencies of all sizes. I also appreciate the time each staff dedicates to helping mentoring agencies across our region. Southwestern Pennsylvania is blessed to have TMP and I hope that more mentoring agencies will use their expertise and resources. -Damon Bethea
The Mentoring Partnership is a gift to our community -- not just to the children and adolescents, but also to the nonprofits that serve them. We lean on them for some of our toughest programmatic challenges, and their guidance is unmatched.

We've worked with TMP for years and it's been a great relationship. We've learned a lot and gained a lot as well!
The Mentoring Partnership of Southwestern Pennsylvania helped us transform our mentoring program. Prior to working with the MPSWPA, we struggled with recruiting mentors, collecting data and measuring the impact of our efforts. Over the years, the MPSWPA reshaped how we messaged our program to the community, implemented evidenced based approaches, collected data and shared our story with stakeholders, funders and the community at large. We became a more effective program as a result of working with the MPSWPA ~ we took the opportunity to document our success, replicate our efforts across the state and support the growth of a program based on our model in Saipan. We've been recognized nationally as an exemplary program. Thanks to the Mentoring Partnership of Western Pennsylvania (the staff, technical assistance, and opportunities for peer sharing) we benefited from an environment where we could learn, grow and flourish.
The staff at the Mentoring Partnership is caring and committed to helping all kids who need a mentor, find a mentor. Their dedication to assisting area agencies develop and train their staff in best practices is second to none!
I have documented the work of the Mentoring Partnership of Southwestern PA for a decade. They hold a special place in the landscape of “helpers.” They do the heavy lifting of finding caring adults and other resources, preparing those adults to serve and connecting them to agencies who directly serve youth. I have witnessed their strategic functions that create opportunities that direct service agencies do not have the resources or relationships to garner. Their wide reach and cooperative spirit give the youth of the region the best possible opportunity to connect with that important adult, who is not the parent, but who helps kids believe in themselves.
My experiences with TMP , have been very rewarding . I was very inspired by the group of mentors , and , the enthusiasm of the students .Michael M Milch ....(Pgh Pa)
I'm very grateful to the Mentoring Partnership of Southwestern Pennsylvania, because of their genuine commitment to the practice of mentoring. This organization has had a tremendous impact on the mentors in the community because of the quality training they provide. I've had the pleasure of attending multiple training sessions and they always bring the latest information for the participants. As a lifelong mentor and advocate of mentoring, I have a profound respect for the standard set by the Mentoring Partnership to ensure the mentees are receiving quality mentoring.
This outstandingly-managed organization is celebrating 20 years of service this year -- twenty years of raising awareness about mentoring, supporting high-quality mentoring relationships, and connecting tens of thousands of children and youth with caring adults. Bravo!

The Mentoring Partnership of Southwestern PA is an amazing facilitator of mentoring training, programs, and opportunities for individuals and agencies alike. The staff are wonderful, committed individuals who make programs successful for all of their partners.
I love this organization! I used to a part one of the Mentoring Partnership's partnering organizations. When I began my position as Program Coordinator, their program staff sat down with me and helped me structure my program to best meet the needs of my students. Afterwards, they provided mentor training for my staff and continuing professional development for myself and colleagues. They conduct monthly meetings for community partners and that was where I made the majority of my professional contacts and other community partnerships. They do an incredible job at facilitating conversations between organizations as well as providing services to groups that service students.
The Mentoring Partnership brings youth together with community leaders to build fruitful relationships. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgable within the community. If you have an opportunity to work in any capacity with the Mentoring Partnership of SouthWest PA, I wouldn't miss out on it.
