Lisa works tirelessly to take care of special needs and terminal cats. She provides a home and medical care for cats that would otherwise be put to sleep. Great organization!
The Hope Alliance is a sanctuary for special needs felines and it truly IS a sanctuary! I have visited Lisa at her home many times over the years and it is a happy, clean, very peaceful and loving home. She is able to give these beautiful precious furbabies the specialized care and love which they need due to their physical and emotional conditions.They are treated with compassion and respect, and are loved and accepted just the way they are. Their special needs, whether physical, emotional or both, just make them extra special and extra lovable. Some have arrived to Lisa's care as victims from heartbreaking pasts, but with time and much love and care from her, they are able to recover and become survivors of their past and live happy lives. No matter what hardships Lisa may personally find herself faced with, she continues to put the needs of her furkids before her own. She is a true angel on earth and I am blessed to call her my friend.

I have been a member of this group since the beginning. The founder has now become a close friend. I have visited her shelter many times and I am very impressed. Those cats would not be around if not for her shelter. They live in a great cage-free environment with the best vet care, food and anything else they may need. It has become my favorite charity and I will continue to support it. Also, she uses her donations very wisely. I could not be more pleased with this group.

I started volunteering with Hope Alliance about 20 years ago. It is amazing what Lisa has done over the years to save "unwanted / unadoptable" cats. The transformations that I have witnessed are absolutely astounding! I have seen cats go from trembling in a corner, so scared they can't move to loving, sweet companions. All this is done on a shoestring budget and Lisa's blood sweat and tears (and lots of love); there are very few people and organizations that I admire more.

I am a volunteer grant writer for The Hope Alliance, Inc. of Connecticut. Executive Director Lisa Mary Ruoppolo is a caring and compassionate rescuer. Lisa Mary rescued "Joseph" a senior kitty with multiple health and dental issues and made certain that he received a dental surgery to get him out of pain. Lisa Mary is determined to give "Joseph" the best possible life along with all of the senior and special needs kitties under her care. God bless Lisa Mary. She is truly an extraordinary rescuer.
I adopted my cat from Lisa and her rescue. Having worked with Lisa, I have seen her dedication to helping special needs cats. For example, my cat was saved from a kill shelter, brought up from Georgia, and meticulously taken care of and nursed back to health after being in a hoarding house. Without Lisa’s love for saving animals, I would not have the greatest thing in my life, my cat. Lisa has dedicated her life to this cause and I can truly say she deserves the world because she has given the world to so many needy cats.
Lisa is a devoted compassionate animal caregiver she takes disabled cats that would be euthanized unnecessarily and gives them the proper medical care to live out their lives in a safe haven she goes above and beyond to care for them and dedicated her life to saving them from a caged shelter life with no human interaction and loneliness and pain she provides them the proper medical attention needed her shelter is very clean this woman is what all rescues should be like and the cats in her care are blessed to be with such a kind and loving human being that sacrifices so much time to them
