Nonprofit Overview
Causes: Food, Food Programs, Homeless & Housing, Homeless Centers, Homeless Shelters, Hot Lines & Crisis Intervention, Human Services, Mental Health, Suicide Prevention
Mission: To promote a culture of compassion through our ministries of food programs, social work, advocacy, volunteer action, and education.
Programs: Quincy crisis center (qcc) provides the quincy crisis hotline for crisis counseling, information and referrals and food for families, a food pantry and delivery service to families, focusing on the elderly, disabled, shut- ins, and other persons not able to access other food pantries. Qcc's sojourners provide visitation and advocacy services to seniors, and persons at risk, dealing with homelessness and/or disabilities. Emergency food assistance and social support is also provided through the help for the holidays program.
mary martha learning center (mmlc) provides direct services to homeless families presently soused by the state in local hotels with food deliveries, material assistance, crisis counseling and educational training. Mmlc also assists families in their transition into permanent housing in partnership with other agencies and churches. Mmlc provides technical support and resources to the network of agencies serving homeless families in our service area.
