Nonprofit Overview

Causes: Child Abuse Prevention, Crime & Law, Dispute Resolution & Mediation, Domestic Violence, Family Services, Human Services, Mental Health

Mission: TSV/Shared Time's mission is to create a safe environment for children to reunite with their families. We believe every child deserves the opportunity to spend time with relatives in a place that promotes healthy relationships. In our opinion, the system continues to fail children and their families by not giving them the proper resources and guidance to grow in a positive light. When we became aware of the cost to families to see their children through supervised visitation, we were shocked and saddened. Our fees are a fraction of what other facilities charge and we offer financing for court ordered classes. No parent should have to chose between seeing their child or paying the electric bill. We also provide a flexible schedule so working parents are able to fulfill their court orders. We encourage families through interactive court ordered classes, life skill classes and positive support. Our first concern for our visiting families is safety. Because of this, we have strict but understandable guidelines for our safe exchange program. There are many benefits to our in-house court ordered classes. It is important to us that parents, ordered to take classes, get the most out of the program. Our classes provide support, encouragement, interaction, and accountability. There are two certified mediators to help families come to an agreement on their terms, whether it be a civil or family dispute, or even a divorce settlement. We will do our best to help navigate the parties through to an agreeable resolution. Our main mission is to protect children and make sure they have a support system that will continue to fight for them.
