Mission: Firc promotes stable families.
Programs: Community support: assisting families and individuals to overcome the temporary crises and lack of sufficient resources that threaten stability and self-sufficiency, including temporary and emergency rent, utility and medical assistance. Also assisting individuals with health insurance enrollment.
firc families united supports parenting education and early childhood development of children 0-5 through free home visitation, family activities, parenting classes and community referrals. We are building stronger families by improving parent/child bonding and attachment, preparing children for school and giving parents the tools to be the best teacher for their child. Community members are served by trained parent educators certified to teach the parents as teachers curriculum and administer colorado bright beginnings visitations and information distribution.
summit thrift & treasure: two nonprofit thrift stores that recycle clothing and house wares and provide these items to the community at an affordable price. Stt also offers volunteer and job training opportunities to more than 100 community members.
healthy living: encourage low-income individuals to make healthy life- style choices by offering healthy-choice cooking classes and discounted recreation center exercise programs.
