Causes: Animals, Zoos & Aquariums
Mission: 1. To disseminate a knowledge of zoology and an appreciation of animal life. 2. To maintain a zoological garden where small mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibial and tropical fish will be on display for observation and study. 3. Through local facilities, readily accessible to all of staten island to instill children an understanding and appreciation of living creatures and 4. To provide lectures and facilities for groups meetings devoted to the study of natural history.
Programs: Zoo operations-provide a zoological park open to the public, including childrens exhibits
education programs - for both children and adults, care and handling of zoo and household animals, items of concern and interest in the zoological world
