I volunteer for the best mini horse nonprofit … so fun and so much love is here. They help the worst minis ever. So rewarding and we love making a difference . I am on the night crew and I love my work
I started following this sanctuary a few years ago.I was amazed at what they did for these mini horses.from the auction to the sanctuary and then to the vet. These horses are taken care of with love and compassion. Every one of them is special. I would donate every now and then, but o see what the this place has done to give medical care, grooming and love is truly amazing. I am now a sponsor to a beautiful mini named Max! I am responsible for his care and I am proud to do it. This is a wonderful place filled with special volunteers who help with everything. This is truly a wonderful place.
They are truly experts at saving these precious souls at terrible auctions after neglect and abuse and giving them vet care and rehab to change their lives and eventually forever homes. The world is a better place because of them.
SoCal Mini is a loving sanctuary and rescue. They go above and beyond to ensure that their animals are properly cared for and to find them the best homes possible. We adopted a bonded pair from them years ago and still remain in contact with them. I adore the team of volunteers and love what they do.
I was able to visit while visiting California this summer. My Sister in law volunteers here so I went with her one day. It was such a privilege to help that day and get to know these beautiful animals. They are so loved and so well taken care of by all the volunteers there. This is truly a wonderful place. This is a picture of me giving Knee High some loving.
The Southern California Mini Horse Sanctuary is a loving and caring safe place for abused and neglected miniature horses. It is beautiful operation with a dedicated and inspiring leadership team and devoted volunteers. Their sanctuary ranch is beautifully laid out for the mini horses to have not only safe stalls and corrals but also freedom runs. There are many personal touches - greenery, flowers, enclosed runs, turnouts, charming play buildings, even a herd of mini Llama companions. The sanctuary's mini horses receive attentive care and they are clearly loved and valued. The organization uses social media very effectively to communicate activities, needs and successes. I have followed them for several years on FB, have donated for several years, been a sponsor for one year and will continue my donations for as long as I am able.
I have watched So Cal Mini Horse Sanctuary from afar on Facebook. They are truly compassionate about what they do for the beautiful Minis, and the cute little llamas too. They take in animals that have been abused or forgotten and give them hope again. It's a beautiful thing! I have a sponsored a pony in the past and I am sponsoring an adorable little mini right now and if I could do more I surely would! From all the pictures I see that place is spotless and all the volunteers care so much and take such great care of all those beautiful miniature horses. It truly is a labor of love. I wish every animal on earth got such wonderful treatment. I wait every day to see a post of the beautiful horses and how caring everyone is to them.
They take the most damaged, hungry and neglected minis and give them so much love, food and care they know they are worthy little beings that are loved, cared for, adored. I’ve sponsored horsies several times. My current little guy was petrified when he got there. Nobody could go near him. He now can be led with halter and lead rope. They can pet him. They are simply the best. Jeanne and her angels are heaven sent.
I believe So Cal is a Great Non Profit because of all the wonderful Rescue Angels that have given us years of dedication and love physically and financially … ♥️ It speaks volumes!!! Humans that truly are in it for the mini horses… We love our Volunteers and our sponsors and our donors! #Teamwork #truesanctuary #greatnonprofit #socalminihorsesanctuary
I have been a part of this Sanctuary for over a year and a half and I have never been more proud to work at this sanctuary. The owner Jeanne Oliver takes in hurt, starving, scared, sick mini's and does everything she can to see that they receive everything that they so deserve. When they first come in they are immediately vet checked so that Jeanne knows what to do to make them healthy. They are then put into quarantine for 4 to 6 weeks where they are fed properly and learn how to love. Once they are healthy enough they go into a pasture with the other horses to learn to play, share and become friends with and to respect. each other. It is a beautiful site. At this point the Angels spend time with them and teach them how to be calm and how to love. Each mini is checked on two to three times a day just to make sure everything is going properly with their diets. The angels as Jeannie calls us, clean the stalls, pastures, clean the waters twice a day and check the horses to make sure they are all ok and there are no problems. This is our little piece of heaven and all of the Angels are so proud to volunteer here. There is nothing more special than having a new mini come to you for the first time and learn to trust. Nothing warms the heart more.
I have had the immense pleasure of seeing this non profit at work and it is awe inspiring. Jeanne Oliver, the founder and President, works tirelessly to make sure the minis in her care get the best of her and everything she can provide to heal them mentally and physically. She is very particular in vetting potential adopters and has made a beautiful place for the unadoptables that will remain at the sanctuary the rest of their lives.
Beautiful sanctuary located in the hills of Hemet, Ca. I was amazed at how clean the facilities were, how many adorable mini horses were there and how welcoming the founder, Jeanne, was. Jeanne and her family have put some much love into rescuing and it shows.
I have been volunteering for a little over a year at So Cal Mini Horse Sanctuary. They are committed to the rescue and rehabilitation of horses suffering from abuse, neglect or just an unwanted mini. They are dedicated to changing the lives of these horses, by treating them with love, respect and the care they need. They are then ready to go to a new forever home. So Cal Mini does amazing, caring work and I am so glad to be a part of it.
By far the most rewarding experience I could have ever imagined. The sanctuary takes in abused, abandoned and even terribly injured miniature horses from all over the US and gives them a second chance. With love, empathy, medical care, more love, and the driven attention to detail, This group works tirelessly on caring for and finding forever homes for these amazing little ones.
So Cal Mini Horse Sanctuary takes hurt, sick, neglected, thrown away sweet souls and gives them a wonderful life. We give them love, food, attention and care to bring them back to their beautiful selves. The minis are part of our family and when they are rehabilitated to healthy and happy we find wonderful families for them or they live at the sanctuary filled with love. They couldn't end up at a better place!
So Cal Mini is a leader in the field of mini horse rescue. Their sole focus is on the rescue and rehab of the horses, 100% of every donation goes directly towards the care of the animals.
Very skilled with miniature horses, I have adopted from them now. With complete confidence in my future with my new minis . I would refer them 100% to anyone looking for minis . Very clean and knowledgeable. Excellent experience.
