Lifeway CEO, John Cates is a long-time friend and I approached him to assist with our daughter's sobriety.
My daughter was placed in lifeway and still has many strong relationships with other participants and employees of this organization.
Lifeway was there for me and my wife when I literally believed we had no other options for our daughter's life, let alone her sobriety. Lifeway provided an uncanny support system for parents while providing care for the person(s) requiring care.

My daughter is now 27 and she has a better chance at her life's choices because of Lifeway.
My daughter fought for her life and came close 3 times to losing her file it were not for the grace of God and the support from relationships made during her time with Lifeway.
I believe in John Cates and I would do anything for him and Lifeway due to the unselfish love and devotion that exists through the programs that Lifeway provides.

Thanks.

My daughter entered Lifeway after finishing 30 days of in house treatment at age 16. She is now 26 and has almost 9 years of sobriety. Lifeway truly saved her life. Also, received marriage counseling which helped us go through this difficult time and helped save our marriage as well. Lifeway was a true miracle for my family and me.

We sent my 16 year old daughter to rehab and put her in the Lifeway program immediately following her release. This enabled her to change her group of friends and be in a supportive environment that allowed her to have fun as a teenager without any drugs or alcohol. My daughter successfully completed the program and she stayed sober, graduated from high school, graduated from college Magna Cum Laude, entered the Peace Corps, and is a functioning and very useful part of society. She is still sober, nine plus years later. We owe everything to Lifeway for their program and for the support we, as parents, received. John Cates, in my opinion, is an angel sent from heaven! I am eternally grateful for Lifeway and highly recommend it!!!

Our family came to Lifeway in June of 2007 with our 15-year-old son who was abusing alcohol and drugs. The facilitators and staff of Lifeway gave us the guidance and support we desperately needed to get our son, and our family, into recovery.

This organization made a huge difference in our lives. Although we were active clients a few years ago, the positive effects are very profound and continue to sustain us. We are not active clients now but we continue to be active donors because the work they do is so important and so effective.

Life way helped to save the lives of my entire family. Seven years ago we discovered
my oldest son who at the time was in middle school had a serious drug
Problem. Lifeway took us in educated us and we learned it was a family illness
And we were all victims of a disease. I felt they were dedicated to help
Us save our sons life. As a result of their tireless efforts my son has been in
Recovery now for 7 years. He will graduate from UT next May.
If not for Lifeway this may not be possible. There are so many children affected
By drugs and parents need a place to turn. Please help this organization.
They helped me when no one else could. Several years after that I brought my
Niece into Lifeway they helped her as well.

When hope was all but lost for our son due to his destructive addiction, SOBR's peer group recovery program gave him (and us as parents) the support he needed to recover, gain confidence and strength, and stay sober. The people working at SOBR were truly Saints for our family, their commitment to the kids in this program was extraordinary. They helped turn a horribly difficult period into one where relationships could mend and grow within our family. We all came out stronger from the experience. Seven years later our gratefulness for this organization as a resource to us in that difficult time has not diminished and we continue to contribute support so that others may benefit as we did. My son remains sober, graduated from college and is professionally successful Our relationship with him has never been stronger.

Our daughter had a problem fitting in at school and was failing classes and no longer able to hide her anger and frustration. We took her to school counselors, psychologists and even a psychiatrist and they all believed her problems were psychological. One diagnosed her as a Borderline Personality. The final recommendation was to medicate her and to send her away to a facility that charged a fortune. Not one of them recommended a drug test! By the time we found John Cates and lifeway she had a serious drug addiction and was fighting with us about everything and running away from home for days at a time. Lifeway saved her life and gave us back our loving daughter. After missing an entire year of school she went back and graduated with her original class! She is working and living on her own and taking classes in college. She has been sober 8 years now and is healthy and beautiful with a full life ahead of her, thanks to Lifeway!

As a Drug Court Judge, I have had an opportunity to interact with a lot of treatment programs and this is the best program I know of. It was good enough that I chose it for my family member's treatment. Their use of an alternative peer group is a critical component in drug treatment in my opinion.

Counselors practiced unethical and barely legal practices including undermining children's self esteem, berating children, threatening to remove them from their home, threatening dangerous state inpatient recovery services with proven assaults on previous clients.
