I have been volunteering with Save A Rescue for awhile. In the beginning I had no idea the scope of lives they change! Most often simply with a phone call. People around the country have a place to call to get emergency help with a dog or cat, simply need advice about care of a new pet or are looking for a furry forever friend. The people who are involved with this group are enormously dedicated and our leader, Bev, is dynamic at connecting people in need, animals in need and making the difference in countless lives every single day.
Bev is very passionate and committed to making a positive impact helping as much cats/dogs/animals as she can. It has been a very rewarding and great learning experience volunteering at Save A Rescue. I have been learning a lot about different ways we can do to save pets/animals across this country. Helping manage their hot/chatline also allowed me to help people throughout the country with questions or concerns about pets/animals 24/7 so that they can be heroes too.
Great experience working with Save a Rescue - A puppy was on it's way over the border with a group of rescued dogs from the USA. Save a Rescue Advocate/Administrator Bev called her contact in Woodstock Ontario. Woodstock called me on the Niagara Peninsula asking me to locate the puppy, assess and send pictures for a couple in Burlington, Ontario - A wonderful experience, finding the puppy, taking and sending pics to the adoptive parents, instant love, happy new doggy family - I felt like a hero - but the true hero was Bev at "Save a Rescue". She started it, she finished it, she never gives up!
I want to thank SaveARescue enough, they are an amazing non-profit Rescue. I saw a Senior dog, a10 yr old miniature poodle in Downey Shelter and wanted to get her out, but couldn't get the help needed because of the distance. Bev went down there personally, got her out and arranged for Pilots and Paws to fly her to me at no cost. SaveARescue paid all the expenses. Yoki was flown to me. My daugther, Lori and her husband brought her to me Sunday this is a amazing group and I can not thank them enough.
Awesome non profit organization that covers a wide geographical landscape. A valuable service to our 4-legged animals. What's not to love!
Call 24/7 and you get help from a great organization that cares deeply about abused and abandoned animals. It covers Canada as well.Because they have a large data base l of the rescues they were able to help me with a feral cat situation. I was able to contact a nearby rescue that would help. Our town does not have any humane society or rescue places for a situation like this.
Thank you to Bev and her team for getting back to me and helping this poor animal.

There is no other available service like Save A Rescue. They are 24/7 and you can call from anywhere in North America. I called from Ontario Canada with an abandonment situation and they had the knowledge and data base to find help within my area.
I hope I don’t need for that kind of situation again but if I do I will be calling the Save A Rescue hotline.
We found our sweet boy Troy through this rescue. They have a large data base of rescues and led me to one in Ontario. They also have a hotline that you can call if you have a rescue emergency situation. This includes Canada! This organization deserves a great deal of credit and recognition. They are unique and awesome!

I was not expecting such a well thought out easy and convenient platform for our search. So many other sites concentrated on themselves (self promotion) rather than the client/customer and rescue animal. Our experience was flawless and we have suggested to others this great Website and organization who have shown their care and concern for animal welfare and happy endings.
I have followed this charity for years and know how tirelessly Bev works to make sure each and every creature she hears of is rescued and cared for in a safe place. She has literally saved thousands of lives and deserves a shout out for her commitment and passion.
I had to find a loving home for a dog on short notice and on July 4, due to an unforeseen family tragedy. Save-a-Rescue was on the scene immediately. Bev showed up and told me not to worry and to just take care of our emergency at hand. She placed the dog with a loving family. She lives her work and throws her heart into doing good deeds for the pets!
The efforts of this group are exceptional in the over the top work to find animals a home. They go to the ends of the earth to make sure that a pet is placed where they are needed and wanted and assist in finding transportation to get them to their new homes. They rescue pets wherever the need is - ie hurricane zones, flood zones etc. Nothing is too much work to save a pet and find it the best home possible!
This animal charity is the best kept secret and the secret needs to get out. They are like the animal 911 of North America! It doesn't matter where you are they will take your call and find a solution. Or at the very least guide you through a situation. Most of us have not clue what to do when we come across an animal in distress. Save A Rescue is there on the phone to help. There is nothing else out there like this !!
