I am the actual Founder of this Youth Charity. I appreciate the posting making the public aware of the D.O.D. history in Arizona. I'm fully aware of the history. I've done my own private research on the matter. I personally handle any and all donations that are inbound for this charity therefore there is no opportunity for mishandling. Like many of the youth that i personally work with, I also believe that anyone has the ability to move forward after making poor decisions in their past, and correct their future. I have spoken regarding this matter and believe that the Director of Developments intentions are pure and for the benefit of the big picture, regardless of what has happened in his past.
If you research the "7 Habits of Highly Effective People", there is a habit that states:
"Seek first to understand, then to be understood"...
Prior to passing judgement towards him or anyone, I try to understand them as people and see where they are at currently, not judge them based on their past or by their appearance (as many people do). IF that was the case, then I would not be an effective leader for any youth in my local community.
From a business perspective, all items that need to be protected, are protected. Therefore, I am not concerned.
