I have volunteered with this organization several times, what they do is so important to some of the lower class communities, they don’t discriminate just help people in need, we need more non profit organizations in times like this, I hope they keep it up.
I've been a volunteer with Project Educate (in Los Angeles) for six years. Because they are a non-profit who does the hard work other organizations don't. They service the homeless community by going to the downtown areas of LA providing resources and their time with a smile. They continue to seek donors to fund educational, health, food and more to help this community. I don't hesitate in giving Project Educate a 5 star review.

The people that work for Project Educate work hard for people that cannot do for themselves, and they are humble.
Working with LaTanya has been a breath of fresh air and so inspirational. I don’t know of a more qualified or compassionate person that could lead Project Educate like she can! The highlight for me was helping at this past Christmas’ Toy Drive. There was so much passion, it was well organized, and we made such a difference for the community we served.
I’d give this review 6 Stars if I could!
Project Educate has been providing services to the homeless, underserved, and disadvantaged communities since 2018. I have been an integral part of the their Annual Events, such as the Heart and Soul which promotes Black History Education and Overall Wellness, their Health, Wellness, and Resource Fair which brings several community partners together to provide onsite and ongoing services to the community. The annual partnership with SRO Housing to provide hot meals to more than 150 Veterans living in Skid Row and their outreach to Title 1 schools in Los Angeles for Back To School, Fitness Education and Diet Information, Ice Cream Socials, Shoe Giveaways and more. Project Educate is and will continue to be committed to improving the quality of life for those they serve. GO Project Educate!

Amazing events for the homeless community focused on healthy living. The FED (Fitness Education Diet) program has an annual Black History Heart Health and Health & Wellness Resource event in Skid Row. Other events are the annual lunch for Veterans, Christmas Holiday Give Away, Social Wellness events and activities that include food and water insecurities, and Back To School supplies give away to name a few.
Great nonprofit!!! I enjoy working with them every year. A genuine organization wanting to make a change.
I live in Maryland I'm from California and I support project educate, I see all the positive impact it has on the community.
I got involved with Project Educate in 2018 and volunteered to help with one of its kick-off events, Project Bloom. I saw the vision of CEO, LaTanya Sherman and knew from then that it aligned with my own. From that day on I have volunteered and was asked to assist on the Board as an Advisor. I was drawn to its mission to help the underserved homeless community in Los Angeles. This mission has grown to serving women, children, veterans, and men who are in need of resources, food, clothing, or just a "pick-me-up." In five years I've seen our nonprofit grow in popularity among the people we serve and those who are donors as they say we are always visible throughout the year in the streets; like in the Skid Row community when other organizations only service during holidays. The need to help is year-round and Project Educate makes sure to collaborate with other nonprofits to make sure we raise funds or get donations to help the people in need. I've made it my mission to continue to be a pivotal part of this nonprofit in any way I can. I have helped develop the ideas for one of our programs, F.E.D (Fitness, Education, Diet) which brings healthier choices to our underserved people. I've even taught Zumba classes in a parking lot downtown, which they really enjoyed. It's been an honor being apart of Project Educate. ~Kim

LaTanya Sherman and the incredible team behind Project Educate consistently go above and beyond to make a positive impact in the community. Their professionalism, compassion, and commitment to their mission are truly inspiring.
Over the years, I have had the privilege of supporting their cause through fundraising initiatives, food donations, and participating in their heartwarming holiday toy drive for homeless children. They truly understand that every person deserves dignity and hope and their tireless efforts are what truly make this organization stand out.

Teaching people how to live in spite of where they live through their FED program, the annual Heart Health Month event and the annual Health and Wellness Resource Fair
I’ve watched Project Educate grow in the last 4 years. They really put the work in to help improve the quality of life for the Los Angeles community experiencing homeless including Veterans, children, and families. I continue to volunteer and give my time because I’ve heard and seen the changes it’s makes in the lives of people.
I have worked with Project Educate. My family and I donated clothes to this non profit and we participated in giving the clothes away. It was amazing to see an organization come together to help the less fortunate. It was pure, loving, and full of kindness. Those who received clothes were so appreciative and had such big smiles. It really warmed my heart. Anytime there is an event, you can see from the outside looking in that the soul purpose and goal is to help and give back. That goal is met every time, and it is so wonderful to see!!
Project Educate is an amazing non profit servicing the community! Providing social wellness, housing, healthcare & additional resources to minimize the impacts of homelessness.
