I am currently a volunteer with Poppy Life Care and my experience so far has been amazing. I fell in love with the vision, mission and passion of the organization. When I met the team of volunteers, I fell in love with the culture and what we all stands for. Our healthcare systems today needs more than just the medical approach to treat and prevent illnesses. We need a holistic, integrative and complimentary approach to health, wellness and recovery. We need to treat the whole person and consider integrating different healing practices that are culturally sensitive to the needs of the individuals served alongside evidence-based practice. This is what Poppy Life Care stands for. Whole Person approach that is holistic, integrative, complimentary, science-based with consideration to culture and needs of the person. In addition, many of the volunteers have lived experience and want to share with others that these healing and treatment practices WORKS!
I am currently working as a volunteer with this amazing collection of individuals. The work that we are completing is going to help individuals improve their mental health through holistic means, as increasing medications is not always the answer. All volunteers in this organization have the same goal in mind: that through a combination of mindfulness, nutrition, exercise and yoga, we can help improve your mental state and mental health one day at a time. Improving oneself should be focused on making lifestyle changes as opposed to just medication changes and we are bringing our message to the masses. I am so happy to be part of this group!

As a parent to a child with ADHD, anxiety and learning challenges, I was hoping to volunteer my time to an organization dedicated to providing resources that would help kids like mine. Poppy Life Care is an incredible organization founded by a woman who pours her entire heart and soul into building it into an essential resource for families touched by autism, ADHD, anxiety and depression. That it offers so many programs and services for families yet is entirely 100% volunteer-run speaks to the quality and commitment of its volunteers and the example set by its Leadership!
Right now, the world needs help on all fronts, and thank goodness Poppy Life Care's mission is to help.
Since we are all facing a global pandemic and ecological crisis, everyone needs to rise to be their best selves, and we cannot do it if we are experiencing crippling anxiety, depression, or stress-related illness.
I am signing up for another meditation and feel better after Jennifer's gentle coaching.

I did the Live Virtual Meditation with Jen and it was a great class for those new to meditation. She took the time to explain the techniques and goals for the class before we dove into the session. Her voice and the environment she was in were very soothing. I really enjoyed the experience.
Poppy Life Care has been a fun and exciting experience. I have learned a lot about spectrum disorders and the importance of helping families living with it. The amount of knowledge and the friends I have gained along the way is truly a humbling experience. This organization has prospered and aided many families in its short tenure. I hope to continue my work with this organization and keep seeing families benefit from our work.

Not only is helping kids and their families a worthy cause in itself, helping launch a startup organization has been especially rewarding. Were it not for the guidance of Erica the founder and the great team surrounding her, I doubt I would be as engaged as I am.
