This Shutzu isn't Figgy, that's Rocky ( formerly known as Gary) that we adopted and donated money to the organization back when he was originally posted in this group back in mid November. At that time there was over $1000 donated to Rocky (formally known as Gary). Your county vet in Oklahoma lied to us about his injury. We were told personally by your vet that there was no bullet in his leg, and that he would recover fully after being shot. When we took him to our vet to confirm this, and by the way, spending almost $600 in the process, they did x-rays and clearly showed his leg had been shattered by a bullet, and the bullet was still lodged in his leg. Needless to say his leg was amputated about two weeks ago. Now you are reposting this dog asking for more money and calling him Figgy. That's just poor business practice and does not give animal rescues a good name.
And it's sad because it tarnishes rescues as a whole, but there are many rescues out there that are honest with people about the animals they are adopting.
That's how it's supposed to be.
Love love this rescue! Kelly and Stacy are the absolute best! They will make sure you get the right dog you are looking for thats for sure !I will always recommend them to anyone looking for a forever pet!
I am amazed at all the hard work and dedication this group of volunteers put in to rescue animals in need. They have no shelter and can only pull animals that they have fosters for. I know there are many facebook messages and phone calls to make it happen. Many of their animals have been mistreated and have come from kill shelters in Texas. This great group of volunteers work tirelessly to save lives. Congratulations to Kellye Sullivan Robertson and her mission of helping those in needs.

Pride Rock Wildlife Refuge is a jewel in the wilderness that is located just a quick drive from Dallas. When owners, Carol and Gary Holliman, decided to rescue the big cat population they launched a wildlife refuge that is like none other. Nestled among tall graceful trees swaying in the breezes, with a mysterious woodland pond only steps away from the huge cages that are homes to lions, tigers, bears, cougars, hyenas and an awesome wolf population, Pride Rock is home to animals that otherwise would have been euthanized or even worse, horribly abused and tortured. As a board member I am honored to also live about a mile away, as the crow flies. I cherish the sounds of the lions roaring as they enjoy their dinner every day. I love to watch the bears as they scamper about in their habitat that was created by the Holliman's so these bears can splash in their pools or climb on their jungle gyms. These magnificent animals exist on the generosity of the Holliman's and precious donations from our community. I use the term 'cages' in the loosest manner. The enormous structures house swimming pools, play yards, unique climbing toys and other clever items. Please visit www.priderock.org and see for yourself the magical beauty of Pride Rock.

This group is amazing! Not only am I a foster failure with them, I continue to foster to support their mission! They help find forever homes for those who have, through no fault of their own, found themselves in unforeseen circumstances-whether that be a full shelter or the side of the road. They provide all vetting costs and are very easy to work with. They help with transports and any needed supplies for your foster. Great group doing great things for four-legged family members.
